In 2007, a new variant of the blackjack game was introduced and was legally approved to be played in the state of Washington. Trademarked as the Three Card Blackjack, this version of the game is played with a single standard deck of 52 cards. All the participating players in this game are required to place an ante wager in the betting circle, following which the dealer and each of the players receive three cards, giving the game variant its name. A player who forms a blackjack or natural hand can either use two or all his three cards. The player can stake a bet amount equal to the ante wager if he is satisfied with the hand he has drawn. The dealer. However, is required to qualify by having a hand value of 18 or better.
