Blackjack game variants III
While many variants of the blackjack games exist, some of them have some exciting features in their rules and regulations modification of the original game to attract many gamblers.
One such game is the Blackjack Switch in which version the players are dealt two hands simultaneously and it is permissible for them to switch their cards. So, if a player receives a ten-valued card and an 8 card for his first hand and another ten-valued card and a 2 card for his second hand, he can swap the cards to make his hand advantageous and thus form the first hand with a pair of ten-valued cards and the second card with a combination of the 8 and the 2 card. Like many other variants of the blackjack game, here also a hand of natural, that is value 21 with first two cards, does not pay the standard 3:2 winning odds but only gives 1:1 or even money. Moreover the dealer with a hand value of 22 is not considered to have busted, but rather the value is taken as a push.
The interesting variation of Multiple Action Blackjack allows the players to stake two or three separate bets during a single hand of play. The dealer gets to form one, two or three hands against the player’s single hand depending on the number of wagers staked by him in the betting circle. As a result a dealer can play more hands every hour. The rules of splitting pairs and doubling down are also permitted, making the game really exciting and lucrative if the player can emerge as the winner.
In the recent times, with immense popularity of poker tournaments where an increasingly large number of gamblers assemble to play for the prize, the game of blackjack has also evolved a format of play used for tournament blackjack games. This is the Elimination Blackjack and though a late addition to the repertoire, has gained much favor with the players.
